Introduction:


Welcome!  I am so excited for this year.  This is only my fourth year of teaching but have been fortunate to work with many different age levels from Kindergarten, 3rd, and 5th grade.  I love teaching! 

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Mike for 20 years and we have two beautiful and energetic daughters.  Hannah is turning 16 and is a Sophmore at Arlington High School.   Chloe is turning 14 and is an 8th grader at Haller Middle School.  When we aren't busy with Flight for Hannah, or soccer for Chloe, I love to read, watch TV (Seahawks, Sounders, and movies), and travel with my family.  We have two slightly crazy toy poodles so between the dogs and my teenagers, I am sure you will hear many funny stories that I will share with your children during the year. 


Education Background:


I graduated from Western Washington University with a K-8 teaching certificate with a major in Special Education. 

Over the last three years of teaching I have also received additional training in Professional Learning Communities, GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design), technology in the classroom, Common Core math standards, and using learning targets in the classroom.
