Each year we do an all school - Kindergarten through 5th grade - performance honoring those who have served and are currently serving our country in the armed forces. This year it is on Thursday, November 10th at 9:30 a.m. Each grade level sings, and students bring in names and pictures of members of their families to be honored in a slide show. These names have ranged from the Civil War to those currently serving here and abroad. In the past we have also had Arlington High School students from the band and the JFROTC join us to assist in the posting of the colors and playing, "Taps". The performance concludes with the whole school, and our guests, singing "God Bless The USA" together. It is a wonderful way for students to learn that music has a purpose beyond just entertaining!

Our Winter Program involves the entire school once again. Each grade level learns a song that goes with the year's theme (themes in the past have included: holiday food, jazz, celebrations). They also learn a traditional song of the season for a good old-fashioned audience sing along. Lyrics are included in the program, so there is no excuse to not join in the fun!!!!! This program is always entertaining, and our gym is packed with family and friends.
Join us this year on Thursday, December 15th at 9:30 a.m.

Presidents Elementary Choir is open to any student in the 3rd, 4th or 5th grade. Rehearsals run from early in January until late March. Students are required to give up one lunch recess each week to practice together in preparation for the performance. It's amazing what they learn in approximately ten 20 minute sessions together. In addition to some fun songs, they learn the importance of teamwork, how to be confident entertainers, and to experience the joy of success from working hard. The performance will be on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School
